MSFS Weekly Briefing from August 20 2026

On August 20 2026 Sim Update 6 was released for all platforms. Users can review the release notes for this update. Feedback and bug reports are still being collected.

Aircraft and Avionics Update 5 was also released on the same day. This update includes improvements for several aircraft, including a transition to the native MSFS 2024 framework. Additionally, support for Career Mode activities has been added.

Affected aircraft include the Boeing 307 Stratoliner, the Bell 47J Ranger, the Curtiss C-46 Commando as well as the Famous Flyer and Local Legends 10 and 14. The Expert Series 1: ATR 42-600 / 72-600 was also updated to address bugs and implement community feedback.
